Channapatna Craft
In the vibrant town of Channapatna, Karnataka, artisans have been turning wood into colourful creations for over 200 years. Believed to have flourished during the time of Tipu Sultan, this cherished craft has been passed down through generations, bringing joy through its playful designs and skilled craftsmanship. Today, its unique heritage is recognised with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, celebrating Channapatna's place as India's beloved 'Toy Town.'
